The staff at Talking Disability wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It’s been a big year for the disability community in 2022, and HelloCare, the company behind Talking Disability, worked hard to report on the news and information that mattered.

Talking Disability covered the most important and relevant news for our readers, while also delivering a range of information guides to assist people with disability to live well.

The disability sector experienced a lot of action this year, including the ongoing Royal Commission into Violence, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability, as well as troubles with COVID-19 safety and huge changes to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

2022 put a spotlight on people with disabiltiy and the ongoing challenges they face, and now, we can look ahead to solutions for those challenges in 2023 as the Royal Commission aims to hand down its Final Report.

Talking Disability and HelloCare look forward to continuing to inform and report on the important things that matter to people with disability in the new year.

Over the Christmas break, we will bring you the best news of the year in our Top News Stories Of The Year newsletter and our Editor’s Pick newsletter.

Our office will be closed from 23 December 2022 until Tuesday 3 January 2023. News coverage will begin from 9 January, 2023.

The first newsletter of 2022 will be distributed to subscribers on Tuesday, 10 January. To ensure you receive weekly disability support news in your inbox in 2023, subscribe to our newsletter.

From all the staff at HelloCare and Talking Disability, we wish our readers a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
