National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDSI) financial services provider My Plan Manager has won national recognition of its female leaders and innovative solutions for people with a disability to better manage their NDIS plans.

My Plan Manager achieved second place on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list of fastest-growing technology companies, and received first place for the Technology Female Leadership Award.

One of the first-established NDIS plan managers, the company has experienced rapid growth since forming six years ago in Adelaide at founder Claire Wittwer-Smith’s kitchen table.

Her vision saw My Plan Manager develop the sector’s first app for tracking NDIS budgets.

“For me, it was always about pursuing an inclusive world which values diversity,” says Ms Wittwer-Smith.

“As well as helping clients to use their NDIS funding to live their very best lives, I wanted to offer the same technology that we all use in managing our personal banking, so that clients could access their  NDIS budget the same way.”

My Plan Manager Chief Executive Officer Jane Kittel says she is delighted at the national recognition of My Plan Manager’s forward thinking and innovative approach, not just within the disability sector but across all industries.

“An essential element of My Plan Manager’s success is its adoption of fintech towards a genuine goal to empower people with a disability,” she says.

“We have stayed true to our purpose throughout My Plan Manager’s growth, and I think our success reflects that we are delivering a service NDIS participants need, and we’re doing it well, in a way that makes a difference to people’s lives.

Ms Kittel says My Plan Manager is at the forefront of developing technological solutions that make it easier for people to manage NDIS plans, and to spend their funds so they get the most value out of those  plans.

“Our streamlined bill payment processes and budget tracking are key, but we’re also using  technology for preventing fraudulent claims, and safeguarding our potentially vulnerable clients: our  system alerts us when there are anomalies in client behaviour – such as claiming irregularity – so we  know to give them a call and make sure everything’s ok.”

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program ranks fast-growing technology companies based on  percentage revenue growth over three years.

Based on its success in the Australian Fast 50 program, My Plan Manager has been entered into the Deloitte Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500 program, the results of which will be announced in February 2021.

Disability and aged care online support worker platform Mable came in at number 9 in the Tech Fast 50 Winners list.
