Disability support provider, Achieve Australia, has welcomed Jo-Anne Hewitt as their newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Bringing more than 35 years’ experience in the disability and not-for-profit sector, Ms Hewitt has led transformative organisational projects under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and guided teams through periods of significant growth and change.

She says she is very much looking forward to getting started.

“I’m really excited to join the team at Achieve Australia and look forward to leading the organisation through what has been a period of substantial growth and transformation,” Ms Hewitt says.

Previously working as Executive Director of Disability at The Benevolent Society, Ms Hewitt was responsible for overseeing the transition of more than 700 staff into the organisation from Family and Community Service (FACS).

Alongside her past experience in the sector, Ms Hewitt says she has a passion for leading social change.

“I’m passionate about providing the highest standards of disability services under the NDIS and creating more opportunities for people with disability to live their best life in the community,” she explains.

Chairman of Achieve Australia, Richard Dinham, says Ms Hewitt is a welcome addition to the team and is looking forward to working with her.

“Jo-Anne brings with her not only substantial experience in leading teams and transformational change but also a sense of energy and a strong commitment to supporting people with disability and their families,” Mr Dinham says.
